Literacy Projects - IAM Foundation
Literacy projects to support both reading and writing are integrally connected to the Write to Publish for Profit mission to promote equal opportunities for all individuals to improve their reading and writing skills.
We are also dedicated to showing writers how to publish and promote their fiction and non-fiction works.
Through our non-profit 501-c-3 foundation, International Arts & Media Foundation
(IAMF)
we seek private and corporate charitable donations and grants to support our humanitarian programs and literacy projects.
We also seek funding to underwrite creative writing programs.
Recently, the IAMF developed a funding proposal for developing "coffee house” literary enclaves for book lovers, authors and aspiring writers.
Working in partnership with IAMF President, Carol Adler, to develop this project is Troy Fonaroff, Information Specialist for the Philadelphia-based Internet Marketing Consortium &
Beryl's World.
With a dossier that includes an internship at Disney World, Fonaroff also currently serves as a volunteer teacher for an inner city writing program.
States Adler in a recent press release: “Throughout modern history, the coffee house has been a gathering place for writers, artists, intellectuals and statespersons.
“It was at these warm and inviting establishments that great literary geniuses and wisdom keepers of the age would exchange ideas, give poetry and fiction readings, exhibit their latest art work and enjoy a unique spirit of camaraderie.
“Thus, it was in this ‘kitchen table’ environment where great statespersons, inspired by poets, journalists and novelists, formulated their plans for developing some of the world's most important humanitarian projects that ultimately led to creating a better world.”
The project will include outreach creative writing workshops to prisons, shelters, hospitals, Assisted Living Facilities, Drug Rehab Centers and other institutions where people have limited access to writing and reading programs.
The IAMF will also build an online coffee house where individuals throughout the world can share their written works and create a large community of individuals who are dedicated to honoring and supporting literary excellence.
